We Won!

We were thrilled to be awarded the Northwest of Scotland bar of the year at the National Pub and Bar Awards in London on Monday 6th September.

This is an industry led award from the Pub and Bar magazine, and was presented by Grace Dent, the well known restaurant critic who writes for the Guardian, and is a regular judge on Masterchef

It is a warm and very welcoming hotel. We spent a night there last new year. The staff were very friendly. The atmosphere in the bar was great. The dinner that night was excellent and the bedroom was very comfortable and felt like a home from home.

Welcome to the Plockton Hotel

A highland hideaway which is surrounded by breathtaking scenery and the richest of history. Whether it’s a cosy home-from-home or a holiday packed with adventure, the West Highlands of Scotland is the place to be. Our restaurant specialities are succulent highland steaks, locally reared beef and seafood, seafood, seafood. Platters of prawns (often landed in Plockton only moments before), fresh fish and shellfish, and a wealth of tempting Scottish ingredients grown and produced locally. A range of malts, ales and gins are a perfect end to another perfect day in Plockton.

We are family owned and family run. The Pearson family (Dorothy, Tom, Ann-Mags & Alan) offer a warm welcome, caring hospitality and a hotel that is difficult to leave and a must to return to - time and again.

Our 11 bedrooms in the main hotel offer a cosy retreat for relaxing breaks. Plockton is also a great base to return to after a day of exploring. Hire a boat or a sea kayak, take an hourly trip with Calum round the bay to observe seals, or a local guided walk around the village. We’re a twenty minute drive from the Isle of Skye, and we’re close to Eilean Donan Castle, Glenelg and the Brochs, and the Inverness to Kyle Railway.
